Please be aware that continuous use of GPS in the background may significantly reduce battery life. Although PRO CHARTS™ functions as a chart reader without GPS, a GPS-enabled device is required for point-to-point navigation. Third-party Bluetooth GPS units are available to enable GPS for iOS devices, such as WiFi-only iPads, that do not come with a built-in GPS receiver. To use the charts offline, they must be pre-cached while connected to the internet. Once downloaded, the charts will be available for offline use.
